Showing Number Partners With Numbers 2-6!

This week we focused on showing numbers partners for numbers 2-6 with our collaborative math partners!  We had lots of fun using the break apart sticks!

Our Hartland Public Library Trip!

On Thursday, we had so much fun walking to the Hartland Public Library!  What great walking weather for us!  During this trip we learned more about the author and illustrator Jan Brett!

Peacebuilder of the Week!

We love Peacebuilder of the Week!!  AS was this week's Peacebuilder and we had so much fun learning more about her!

Literacy Work Stations!

This morning we started our winter Literacy Work Stations!  We were so excited to begin this set!  Throughout this set we are engaged in thinking about characters, number sequencing, creative expression through an online app titled "Sumo Paint", finding words with a variety of initial sounds, creating snowmen, using initial sounds to sort picture cards, writing star words, reading star words, taking turns playing games, patterning, using fluency and expression while reading familiar poems and big books and working with addition sentences!!  WOW!!!  We sure are hard at work with our collaborative partners!!  Make sure to ask your child which station he or she visited today!!

Reading Buddies

We met with our second grade reading buddies today from Mrs. Batchelor's class to enjoy a few stories and make snowflakes to decorate our classroom!  How fun!!
